How did y’all feel about this weeks presentation and field trip? Are their any actions that you can take within your own workplace to change their waste habits and reduce the amount of waste headed to the landfill?
I recently found out that the ‘recycling’ bin at my workplace does not actually go to recycling, but is deceptively thrown away just like the garbage. Although it definitely feels daunting, I think this would be a good project to undertake—I plan to find more people who care about recycling in my workplace and try to get them involved.
What would be the goal of your employer to have the appearance of recycling without recycling? If they want the image of recycling–then what is the barrier/problem with them following through?
